Friends of Europe, Berlin e.V.

We are building a Europe in unity, justice and freedom.
The Friends of Europe, Berlin eV is a combination of people and institutions of regional and otherarea, which together can be found in free form, regardless of race, religion, party and nation. Throughdiverse activities, the integration of European citizens in a humanistic, democratic and solidarity-basedform is sought.

The union of the "European Nations" is promoted in the rule of law, a federal form. Basics ofassociation, human rights and the "Charter of the United Nations."
For these objectives in peace and freedom of the will of friends as a sign and symbol of the"Brandenburg Gate" in the blue circle of stars.

The founding of the Friends of Europe, Berlin eV - non profit organization,
was held on Thursday, March 11, 2004, at 17:20 clock
in 14057 Berlin, Suarezstr. 15 - 17,
in the conference hall of the Ernst Lemmer Institute instead.

We called the twelve founding members of the bourgeois environment of our city of Berlin, expressedby signing the bond to Berlin in peace, freedom and responsibility for Europe, and electedunanimously the Board.

Our honored guests were given a welcome addition to charter as a visible sign of our circle of friendsoutside that symbolizes the peaceful fall of the "Iron Curtain" in Europe, our Brandenburg Gate, a silver pin. This badge will also carry every member as a visible sign to the outside.

With this foundation, we combine our good contacts with the members of the European Parliament,but especially to the President of the European Parliament Prof. Dr. Hans-Gert Poettering and the President derEuropaunion Germany and Chairman of European Parliament Foreign Affairs ElmarBrok, at the very dedicated this project have been involved and participate.

Objectives of our circle of friends in the first place, the people of Europe to bring especially after theaccession of 12 new countries even closer. To build new networks but also the "bridge" to promoteour 27 main cities in Europe as neighbors actively and deepen.
